#14 Reunion at the Home of Sakakawea
New Town, North Dakota
The 3rd and final event to be hosted by a tribal nation, Reunion at the Home of Sakakawea was presented by the Mandan-Hidatsa-Arikara Nation at the Fort Berthold Reservation, New Town, North Dakota.
The August 2006 event honored the contributions of Sacagawea and commemorated Lewis & Clark’s 1806 reunion with the Mandans and Hidatsas on the expedition’s return trip to St. Louis.
Tribal programming includes:
